Why Pendula

What Sets Our Approach Apart

Reading-Led Format

Sessions open with structured readings and continue through discussion. There is no lecture — participants bring their own experience to the material.

Small, Deliberate Cohorts

Workshop cohorts are held to eight to twelve participants. This allows for unhurried conversation and space for each person to speak.

No Advice, No Products

Pendula does not offer financial advice, and no products or services are recommended within any programme. The focus is on reading and reflection.

Singapore-Specific Context

Materials are drawn from Singapore public documentation — CPF Board, SRS scheme literature, and MAS consumer education resources.

Unhurried Pace

The four-month programme is structured around a pace that suits participants who are working or managing household responsibilities alongside their reading.

Tangible Reading Materials

Each programme includes printed materials — clothbound journals, reference binders, and worksheet cards — designed to be kept and returned to over time.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these programmes suitable if I have no background in finance?

Yes. The programmes are designed for people who want to read and reflect on the subject — not for those with existing expertise. Participants typically find that their everyday household experience is the most relevant background they bring.

What is the difference between a reading programme and a workshop?

The Mid-Career Money Reflection Reading Programme runs across four months with monthly sessions. The two workshops are each held over a weekend — two half-day or full-day sessions. Both formats are discussion-led and reading-centred.

Do sessions take place in person?

All sessions are held in person at our Cecil Street premises in Singapore. We do not currently offer remote or online formats, as the small-group discussion model relies on participants being in the same room.

Is financial advice provided during the sessions?

No. Pendula is an educational organisation. No financial advice is offered during any programme, and no products or services are recommended. Participants who require regulated financial advice are encouraged to engage a licensed financial adviser separately.

How many participants are in each cohort?

Workshops are limited to cohorts of eight to twelve participants. The four-month programme maintains a similar group size to allow for meaningful discussion over the course of the engagement.

What does the S$650 programme fee cover?

The Mid-Career Money Reflection Reading Programme fee covers all four monthly sessions, the clothbound reflection journal, monthly worksheet cards, and the peer discussion notebook. There are no additional session fees within the programme period.

How do I enrol or find out about upcoming dates?

Please use the enquiry form on this page or write to us at [email protected]. We will respond with current cohort dates and availability. There is no obligation in writing to us.
